
This Monday we want to highlight David and get to know a little more about him! David grew up a military brat born in Germany and ended up in Fredonia, New York. David enlisted in the military out of Buffalo in 2012 becoming a UH-60 Blackhawk Repairer(15T). Upon completion of his basic and initial training he was selected to attend Green Platoon to become a member of the Special Operations Aviation Regiment 160th (Airborne) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He served in 160th SOAR(A) from 2013-2016 as a Blackhawk Mechanic serving one tour to Afghanistan. In 2016, he left to spend a year in South Korea, stationed at Camp Humphreys. During his time in Korea, he crewed and maintained Medical Evacuation Blackhawk helicopters. In 2017, David reported to Fort Hood, Texas where he would spend the rest of his military career as a Technical Inspector and deploying with the unit for a nine-month rotation in Germany. David was Medically Retired and left Active-Duty Service July 30th, 2020.
While David was Stationed at Fort Hood and his return from Germany, he met his beautiful wife, Morgan. They got married on leap day, February 29, 2021, and live in Temple, Texas. David and Morgan had their first baby Alden Wesley Matteson on December 12, 2021.
David is coming up on his second full year in real estate and is loving every minute of it. Making friendships and connections is something he is extremely passionate about. When David is not working, he is traveling the globe with his wife, hiking with their two Miniature Australian Shepherds, Coaching Youth Sports, Golfing, Cooking, and supporting local restaurant’s, breweries, and wineries!!
